Shortly after forming back in 1997 it was clear that for the project to move forward and fully address and meet the needs of young people and the communities they live a permanent base would be needed. The was drawn out process and finances were tight, however after many meeting and discussions between key agencies and lots of hard work by those involved. Eventually in March 2004 the open access point was opened by John Battle MP.
